Ok, lots to say on this page, but hopefully this covers most of the general questions concerning Gremlins.

This is information that will come into play later in the story. I promise, everything does tie in.

For those of you who are (or were, in my case) big into mmorpgs, you probably know all about discovering what sounds like a great game, following along for months, or years as it goes through alpha, only to get the news that the developers had to drop the project due to funding or staff changes or any of a dozen other reasons.

Or maybe getting all kinds of excited when you got your beta key, and you find yourself playing the crappiest game ever. I think the mmo that disappointed me the most through the years was a game called Horizons.

I wanted to play because you could be a Dragon! Turned out to be just the buggiest, most grindy game I have ever struggled to play. Well now you know that it was Gremlins behind the trouble all along...=P

And if you're browsing around any of the comic sites he is on, give the dwarf a friendly vote =)

Gremlins have long history of mechanical mayhem. Just ask Bugs Bunny!

Buggs is a Gremlin at heart, and a personal favorite of mine!

I always wanted to fly a dragon in L2. They made big comments through development that you could ride a dragon into battle. It looked awesome! When the game came out it was still a year till anyone got a dragon and only if you owned a castle!?

I haven't played a good mmo in awhile :-/

I wondered if the little guy had been stealing lots of stuff from other games for his Gremlins pad.

I was able to play a little in the L2 beta, way back when. It was pretty, but it didn't really hold my attention. The last mmo l played was Tera online, it was even more pretty, but that's about the time l decided to start doing this comic thing, and suddenly, l just didn,t have time to do much of anything else =(

And yes, Tinker has been collecting things from a lot of games on and around his intetnet universe, so if you ordered something cool from amazon, or ebay, and never got it, check Tinkers cubby!

Gravy clap. Sort of like a golf clap, but much messier.

I remember that page, it seemed Tinker took things from more than just games. I would say he has been filching from torrents, too, particularly tv and movies!

Tinker has gotten around, as evidenced by his collection.

Hmm, Leerpain sounds wise, in his evil way!
Draginbeard 16th Dec 2013, 8:46 PM edit delete reply
Cizors worries that if Leerpain finishes up his village meal and comes here, he will just kill Jolly and Tinker. If that happens, Cizors fears he may never get the machine working again. All the dragons that were lost when the machine was first activated, might never make it home.

But trying to use the machine has its risks, and Cizors is willing to risk a lot to help his brothers. Even the ones who mainly think with their stomach!

Oh, I mixed up the names again did I?
Draginbeard 16th Dec 2013, 9:58 PM edit delete reply
I think so, if you want, just look at the word bubbles, red is Cizors, green is Leerpain. =)

Gremlins are ok fellas as long as you don't feed them after midnight ! ... Well i guess if they're gremlins someone already did, nevermind!
Draginbeard 17th Dec 2013, 7:17 AM edit delete reply
As long as you can keep them entertained, gremlins are fun.

Your story is beginning to remind me a bit of the movie "Tron", where people from the real world are digitally miniaturized into a computer microverse. I remember when I first started reading your comic, I thought it was just going to be a traditional high fantasy comic, but instead, it turned out to be much more dynamic.
Draginbeard 17th Dec 2013, 10:52 PM edit delete reply
Thanks Chris =)

I remember seeing the first Tron in theaters as a kid, way back, and it did leave quite an impression on me. Its fair to say a good portion of this story was inspired by both the Tron movies (among others).

Actually, now that I think about it, while this story, at its core, is very much a fantasy adventure, there is a lot of Sci Fi inspiration behind it. The two big ones are Tron, for the internet universe, and the other is a show called Farscape, where the hero, John Criton, is lost somewhere deep in the universe and is constantly spouting earth pop culture comparisons to the situations he gets caught up in.

There is a lot of D&D, and mmo gaming getting thrown in as well, so hopfully I can spin all these influances into something as fun to read as it is to draw and write.

Guild Bank could be useful ;)

Very useful. But unless someone keeps it organized, they tend to fill up quickly with all manner of odds and ends...

Thanks =)

Soft shade is my preference, although there are times when I'm tempted to switch to cel shading just to save time.
