Mothers day is coming up, don't forget to give your mom a hug, or at least a phone call!

This was a little hard to write. As much as I enjoyed these characters, it was time to finally say goodbye to Jolly's best friends.

(Edit) I fixed the sun! That's right. I have that kind of power here!
Hopefully this looks more like a sunrise now. =)
And if you're browsing around any of the comic sites he is on, give the dwarf a friendly vote =)

Some really great digital painting in this page. I like the mixing of blue and orange hues in the sky. Nice work.

Thanks Chris!

One of the benefits of living in the southwest, you get some of the best skies!

Dawn and dusk, lightning, monsoon, and dust storms are particularly spectacular.

Seconded! The lighting is great!

And why do I get the feeling "Da's project" that he's mentioning so nonchalantly is going to be fairly significant?

Oh, I bet you can guess what the Bellhammers have been working on!

Losing friends and family, its like being dropped into a pit of wretched soul-sucking numbness.

Poor Jolly, all alone with just a Gremlin that can't talk to him. I agree with the above comments on the colors for this page, really lovely, and that last panel is particularly heartbreaking!

Oh yeah, this was really hard on Jolly, its the second time he has had to face losing these friends...the only consolation is that this time he got to say goodbye to them.

Love it. Awesome sunset.... Super cut scenes and way to express the last feelings.

Thanks =)

I know it looks like sunset, but its actually supposed to be dawn.

I work the grave shift, and now that summer is here, I get to watch the sun come up every morning.

I took this sunrise from one I watched a few weeks ago. Desert skies are amazing at dawn and dusk.

Thanks, though it might look like a sunset, its meant to be dawn.

No worries.

Odd as this might sound, sunrise and sunset look very much the same.

I've been watching them both, and other than knowing what direction your facing, and the time of day, there is that long minute where the sun is just hovering, turning the sky all kinds of colors.

Of course then it gets brighter or darker, depending.

Does anyone know a good way to distinguish one from the other?

(Edit) figured out what I was doing wrong, and fixed it. Should be better now.

My poor Jolly! (hugs him)
Draginbeard 6th May 2014, 2:11 PM edit delete reply
He could use a good hug about now. =)

the best way to distinguish a sunrise from a sunset time lol....
no other ways...... if it's not important, doesn't matter..if it is...including a text box with exemple: 6:08am can be pretty clear to the readers :) or.... Just saw the modification... Do that lol... Lot better that way

Heh, yeah, turns out I have a bad habit of over-thinking even the simplest of things.

Figure to trim the thought process down to yellow for a rising sun, and orange for a setting one.
