I hope all you Poppas out there had a great Fathers Day! I spent the weekend relaxing, and catching up on sleep.

Comicon sure was great, but boy it sure can take its toll on us old guys!

And here it is, my first full on female dwarf. I haven't worked out all the quirks yet, so like Jolly, I hope to get better drawing her as I go along.

Im reaching the end of my buffer, I am working to get it back up again, but once this chapter hits the end, I am going to be taking a break to rebuild.

Right now we are in the last leg of chapter 3, so there is a ways to go still.

If you're browsing around any of the comic sites he is on, give the dwarf a friendly vote =)

He must be getting closer to home.

Still a ways away, but with luck Jolly could make it to the Makers Hall in a few weeks.

Thanks, the page took way too long, but it did come out pretty much how I hoped.

Dang, Jolly looking badass in panel 1. And finally a (possible) travel companion who speaks his language.

Nottie is going to evolve into a major character in the story. She has her share of secrets. Some more dangerous than others.

Joel Sawyer
For a dwarf, her face seems shamefully hairless...heh heh!
Draginbeard 17th Jun 2014, 3:47 PM edit delete reply
You would not believe how long I struggled with her. Should I make her fat like Jolly, and how much facial hair? What about giving her big ears, and crazy wild hair?

Sadly, I have very little talent for drawing a female face that actually looks female. Adding any amount of hair and I ended up with a little big foot looking creature.

I finally settled on no facial hair, but gave her a large nose, and big hair instead.

By the time I got to this character model for Nottie, I had nearly burned through my entire buffer.

Cartooning is HARD.

So she's the one who got to peep on Jolly when he was swimming. Jealous.

Yup, that was her. =)
