I hope everyone who celebrates, had a great Thanksgiving!

So I'm trying something new with this page, and going light on the shading. Last page came out messy. I had to rush the page, so that didn't help any.

I feel like this page came out cleaner. And yeah, Pixies look a little different too. I'm working on drawing wings. I think they look good, but hope to do better as I go.

Have a good week everyone!

If you're browsing around any of the comic sites he is on, give the dwarf a friendly vote =)

Just what was the historical origin of the the enmity between Dwarves and elves?
Draginbeard 1st Dec 2014, 4:05 AM edit delete reply
The details of that conflict dont really come into play for this story.

But basically, its a story of two elvish princesses (the seelie and unseelie sisters) who tried to conquer Fairie. The dwarves (along with many others) were swept into their war, and suffered great losses defending their mountain realm.

The queen of summer twilight had capured the great forge, King Azrock made a show of his people's surrender, but secretly plotted to flee Fairie and bring what remained of his folk out of fairie, to this world (Scarlan).

The sisters were so busy warring on each other, the never realized that they were tearing Fairie apart.

Before it was all over, a small measure of the little folk (including a faction of seelie elves) from both sides had joined the dwarves in exile.

The sisters consider dwarves to be cowards and traitors, the dwarves consider elves as callous oppressors.

That's a pretty awesome story. Did you come up with all that yourself, or was any of that borrowed from the Silmarillion or some other source? (I have never read the Silmarillion so I wouldn't know, but I heard that it is a detailed history of Middle Earth).
Anyway, I am not saying that you are not capable of creating that story, but it is so cool, that I have to wonder if it perhaps part of some greater lore, that perhaps it is the result of a collaboration. if you are the sole creator, then congratulations on what I consider to be a pretty deep back story! I like it.
Thanks for the info.

Well, I've been influenced by Tolkien for certain, plus about a hundred other writers, artists, and movies, so you will definitely see some similarities in my stuff. Im doing all the story and art, trying to keep it as orginal as I can, but trying to do things that haven't been done already is an uphill battle at best.

I figure write and draw what entertains me, dont willfully swipe someone elses ideas, and have as much fun as I can with it.

Thanks for the comments and encouragement, Chris, its very much appreciated!

Kind of reminds me of an MMORPG.
So you're sitting there waiting for your quest objective to spawn... waiting... waiting... then some newb comes running by and it spawns on top of him and he kills it. Jolly you newb!

At least he is willing to give up the kill and loot rights...if they help him out in return.

Plus the body is at the bottom of the river, and who wants to go monster diving in that water!!

That was exactly what I was thinking when I heard the word "spawn". But I think the author has mentioned in the past that he has played WOW.
DizzasterJuice 1st Dec 2014, 7:52 AM edit delete reply
I used to play WoW way back in the day when the maximum level was 50. heheh

Kill-stealing used to be a big deal back when I was playing Everquest, and this encounter was flavored with that in mind, so you guys aren't far off the mark =)
