The machine, it did more than was intended. Portals appeared randomly all over the world. Many things were caught and vanished, but this was not a one-way event...

Here a dragon is sucked in, while some cosmic horrors peek in and see whats good to eat...

Okay yeah, I did some more talking insects. These are just for my own personal giggles and have no real bearing on the story.

I did the text really small (most of my insects aren't very loud). I added in their dialog down here in case anyone really wanted to know what these critters were up to.

Butterfly : "Oh curse these compound eyes! Naked Dwarves are dangling EVERYWHERE!

Caterpillar: "At least you can fly above it. Try the view from down here!

The Machine and our Hero might have some areas of mutual interest.

The machine may have been destroyed, but this is not the last we have heard from it.

Heheh I was playing around with the whole 'Talking wildlife' idea.

I'm not sure if I'm going to use it on a regular basis. Right now, no one else can hear them chatting away, but then again, this is a magical world...

Shouldn't his belly cover his dangling dwarviness when he's sitting at least?

You haven't seen how Jolly commands the full limits of a chair.

I'm not going to inflict that visual upon ANYONE! (except bugs unfortunate enough to be too close at the time)

D'aww, the dragon misses its buddies.

Although, that dragon in the last panel looks pretty menacing! Color looks good too :D

Yeah, some dragons have stronger bonds to their brethren than others.

Cizors feels very strongly for his race. That they came to harm at the hands of 'lesser creatures' had him (all dragons actually) raging mad for a long time.

Here is a little world lore for you guys:

I'm using the concept of 'blood ties'. All dragons (and other magical creatures as well. Dragons to Dragons, elves to elves, ect ect.) are connected to their race by this bond. If one dies, the others of that blood can sense the loss.

In fact with some, doing harm to one dragon can actually cause pain to another. Thus they are very protective of each other.

Another weakness among dragons is their own vanity. I really like these concepts and will be playing with them through out the story.

Thanks, I think in a few more pages you guys will get an idea of where this is heading.

Plus I found a new color palette that I'm in love with, although you wont see that til strip 30.
