Beneath the blanket of a poisonous green mist, the remains of both friend and foe forever sleep.

Trapped in this make-shift tomb, Jolly can't shake the feeling he is being watched, and even judged by the dead.

I have a couple of happy announcements this update.

First, thanks all kinds to LooeyQ (Creator of a very excellent comic; Mad Dog) for helping me out with learning a better way to do mist effects! Seriously, dude, you RULE!

Next up, I hit 20 subscribers this week! Yea!!! Thank you for all the comments, and I truly appreciate the support! I have something special planed for the 25 sub mark I think you guys will get a kick out of!

Lastly, I want to shout out to Gregs comics, and Samurai Comics out here in Mesa AZ for letting me put up some flyers for the comic!

If you ever hit the Mesa area, check em out, great bunch of folks. They have taken care of me really well since I've been back in the valley =)

I like the mist effects and the perspective. Very good.

Thanks, it took a bit of practice to get it looking right. I actually had this page drawn and in the buffer back in August, but it wasn't until last night before I was able to get the mist effect in it.

That's one poisonous green miasma you've got going there!
Draginbeard 26th Oct 2012, 3:41 AM edit delete reply
Yes it is, but there is still a little mystery as to its origin...
Rinkel 26th Oct 2012, 12:46 AM edit delete reply
I just keep thinking "look at all the clothes, he won't have to be nekkid anymore".

Great page, love the effects!! XD I'm so jealous of your mist.
Draginbeard 26th Oct 2012, 3:40 AM edit delete reply
I had help with the mist, but yeah it came out pretty close to how I wanted. =)

Next page Jolly gets a little practical about his wardrobe.

LOL it could very well be we passed each other in the hall a dozen times. Maybe I even dropped a book off the high shelf on you at Bookmans... Um, yeah, that wasn't me by the way. Uh...Just in case.

I'm still toying with fog and mist, but I can PM you what Looey sent me, he is the wizard that put me on the right path here.

so that was YOU!! *points and shakes finger* hehe - are you familar with Game Depot?
Draginbeard 26th Oct 2012, 9:18 AM edit delete reply
No, I don't think Ive heard of Game Depot, I think Gamers Inn (Stapely and Southern) is the closest place, and right now they are pretty much just doing 40k table top related gaming, and CCG tourneys. I was lucky to find dice there last month.

I will have to look up Game Depot.

I'd say Jolly is knee deep in one of them Crave Yards! that's a cave mixed with a graveyard! I'm sure it's a thing people say, it has to be!
Love that last panel, and the mist looks awesome dude! and thanks for the shout out!!! :D

I don't know if there is a common term for 'cave stuffed with dead people'.
Caveoliem? Corpsahcave? I'll have to think about that.

Yeah, the mist did come out pretty well, Thanks again!

Now I want to try it using black, without obscuring everything in the frame. I have a couple ideas I'm going to try today though.
LooeyQ 27th Oct 2012, 11:14 AM edit delete reply
For some reason purple can be counted as black, if you don't want to obscure it to much. I remember the black flame in disneys hocus Pocus looked more purple, but everyone seemed to be cool with that!
Draginbeard 27th Oct 2012, 1:08 PM edit delete reply
Hmmm, lets see what a little Purple rain can do for me then. Thanks Looey!

Surea, A little purple haze never hurt no one *cough*, at least expire,Monet with it right?, *cough* *cough*

Wow my iPhone messed up two words there. Allow me to correct. *Sure* and *experiment*

LOL Oh I do know your pain! My 'Smart' phone is on a 'Gremlin network' too. It has been known to tamper with things I want to say by tweaking spelling so badly that it would baffle the most profound Wheel of Fortune puzzle solver!

Maybe being thrown into a portal isn't so bad now, seeing the fates of those who fought long ago!

The last panel is great! Bodies and mist galore! :D
Draginbeard 26th Oct 2012, 1:56 PM edit delete reply
I liked doing the last panel, and getting that mist to look like...mist, man that had me stumped and frustrated for weeks.
Dodom 26th Oct 2012, 3:16 PM edit delete reply
Did he step into the dragon's latrine?
Draginbeard 26th Oct 2012, 5:59 PM edit delete reply
The cave is a little small for a dragon to fit into, the tunnel leading up to it is even smaller, so unless the dragons were;

a) suffering from some powerful disruptive digestive issues,

b) the adventure was written by Gary Gygax (may he rest in peace) where any size monster could fit into any type of dungeon, this is probably not the dragons bathroom.

That being said, I think I'm going to skip dinner tonight. Blech.
Dodom 26th Oct 2012, 7:32 PM edit delete reply
Well, I meant that this would be the part where the "products" fall, and there's a hole somewhere in the roof, because right above is where the dragon sits.
Draginbeard 26th Oct 2012, 8:49 PM edit delete reply
Hmmmm, hole in the roof, well that has some possibilities.

But in this case the cave is at the base of a cliff near the ruins, and behind Cizors. You guys haven't seen that in relation to where the dragons are debating, mostly because I just couldn't figure out how to make a good frame from that angle.

Leerpain is actually perched on whats left of a wall, he has to get past Cizors to get to the cave.
