(Fulrin is a Dwarven warrior priest. He isn't really part of this story, this is more of a 'walk on part' done for fun.

A quick back-story note, Fulrin is the Player Character of David, a friend from my gaming group. In our Dungeons and Dragons game, Fulrin has outscored everyone else in the party for finding every secret door in the adventure!

As a tribute to the people who game with me, I am going to be weaving in their characters from time to time just for giggles.)

````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Jolly is getting desperate. Stone work was never his calling, that skill and passion was with his father. His Da was the one who lived to shape living rock and discover treasures long hidden.
Jolly worked hard to become a great warrior. This was his calling, and one that has earned glory for himself and his clan through many adventures.
Today I think of and honor those lost in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. I served in the US Navy many years after world war II, and in 1985 I was afforded the chance to see the Arizona Memorial when I was stationed in Hawaii. It was a profound moment in my life.
Heh, yup they brought him an 'Apple bitter-peach sunset-banana shadow-signature house ale....one taste made Fulrin want to kick someone right in the tap!
Thanks =D Yeah, I have some ideas for the next chapter to trickle in a few of characters into the comic. As much as we all joke around, it only seems fitting they get a little 'screen time'! =P
Love the dialogue in this page!!! It was quite fun to read! I love reading in accents! :D Chapter 2 is off to a roaring good start!!!!
Of us all, David is the only one using an accent in his characters 'voice'. Fulrin tends to be impatient and a little silly at times (note the Buckler helm he is wearing, its an early warning device against Green Slime, and doubles as a Giant-agitator!)
I know that technically I'm at 50, but I have something I want to do when I hit 50 story pages too. =)
Is there a story on why they'd make a sign with the logo and name so mismatched?
Draginbeard 7th Dec 2012, 7:17 AM edit delete reply
Draginbeard
Yes there is, actually the sign came from a game I played in, maybe 30 years ago. The group was doing a city adventure, (anyone remember the City-State of the Invincible Overlord boxed set?)
We were in an Ale house, the party got attacked by Trolls, and we kind of set the whole joint on fire during the fight...
The party eventually had to pay for the damages, and decided to buy out the barkeeper, reopen the place, and use it as a base of operations for the rest of the campaign.
I couldnt fit the real name of the Tavern on the sign, but when we had it rebuilt, we named it 'The burning Trolls house of screaming death Bar and Grill.'
I don't drink but I would totally go to an ale house with a sweet sign like that.
It was a great bar, lots of gaming, lots of drinking, lots food. The staff were all ex-adventurers, so there was plenty of stories to be heard!
Heh, I bet you might say something a little more colorful if you had been served up the same monstrosity that they tried to pass on Fulrin!
Fulrin 7th Dec 2012, 8:16 PM edit delete reply
PERFECT! That's EXACTLY how I pictured him! LUV the buckler on his head...it keeps the green slime off for sure!
Glad you liked it! I have Fulrin and the rest doing a cameo later in the strip, probably around chapter 3.
Jumping out of a tree? That would be awsome! Probably one of the funnest thing's I've ever had a character do :D
I have a few things in mind, all of it is based on Rita and her growing fear of one day bringing her son over to play with us.
