Draginbeard
The spirit is getting desperate. He needs Jolly to submit, without a fight if at all possible, (there is a very compelling reason he needs Jolly alive) but his lack of humanity is getting in the way of the negotiations.

His sales pitch is a little flaccid...

I was watching Caddyshack (an old favorite of mine) a few weeks back, and watching Bill Murray go up against the gopher...it was inspiring!

Joiiiiin uuuuusssss...

I was never very good at the ventriliquism myself! Though I wish I was, I had an instructional VHS tape on how to be a ventriliquist when I was little. To pronounce a "b" sound make the "d" sound!

I received a Charlie McCarthy dummy as a gift one year, I spent weeks trying to learn how to become a ventriloquist...yeah, it didn't work out for me either.

Then I blame the dummy for our failed attempts! Damn all dummies, damn them all to the wood chipper!

Some guys are blessed with great hair, even in death.

Still, a certain level of absurdity doesn't hurt either.

I love cartooning!

Is this where someone plugs the "You should quit while you're a-head" line?
Draginbeard 4th Jan 2013, 12:24 PM edit delete reply
Draginbeard
And try to beat you to the punch? Oh no, I know better than to steal your lines! Heads have rolled in the past for much less! =P

At least he tried a diplomatic approach, unlike most undead servants!

Ah, but in this case, it was an elaborate ruse! The servant was not but a puppet to the master!
