Tried something a little different on this page.

I do like how the night sky came out, Buuuut the feel of this page is maybe a little too drastic a change.

Odd thing here is that I was able to use the same cloud and moon brushes Ive been using for mist and smoke. All I needed to do was touch up the cloud color a bit.

Yet somewhere along the line I ended up with a heavy Ralph Bakshi (Wizards, Lord of the Rings, Fire and Ice) vibe.

Ah well, that's the beauty of experimentation, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and other times you get something you weren't expecting.

One more page left in chapter two!

Very nice indeed!
All dark and lurky.
Though how anyone the size of Cizors can be stealthy is a mystery!

Normally in the daylight, he wouldnt be. But dark scales in the night, far enough away, behind a scant but still present treeline, and if he keeps very still, its possible.

Plus there are spells that can assist a dragon who wants to go unnoticed. If they think to use them. Dragons tend to be a touch over-confident, and think they are better at things than they are.

Awww Thanks =)

On Cizors being stealthy - every time I think of it, I get an image of John Belushi (as 'Bluto' in Animal House) bumbling all around trying to sneak into the Deans office.

Dragon in flight looks great! I like that he's watching Jolly to find out more about him. Jolly is a pretty interesting Dwarf!

Cizors has his reasons, and reason is something he prides himself on.

I think for the most part the experimenting came out well, the page looks really nice. You can never really go wrong with trying new techniques when it comes to art, even if you end up with something you don't like for that particular instance you may find it handy for something else.

Cartooning has been one of the best experiences I think I have ever had.

I haven't been at this very long, about a year and a half, and I have to say that experimenting has paid off far more than its fallen flat.

Ive learned something every time I draw and color a new page, and I think that's where a good part of the joy I get comes from.

I really like the stark contrasts on this page.

This was a good page for me. I did some experimenting that came out different, and better than I thought it might.
