Happy Birthday Angela!! Can you believe how fast the time goes?!! Gads!

I got to meet Centcomm of Datachasers fame over the weekend, how cool is that? Very cool =D

This is roughly what the inside of Tinkers dimensional cubbie looks like...give or take.

Basically, I thought about all the junk and other cooler things that I would probably have or try to get if I had a personal dimensional closet.

I took the idea maybe a little too far. This page was incredibly time consuming. I'm glad I did it, but I dont know if l would want to do this sort of small detail very often.

And no, no Waldo (for those of you who are still looking for him).

What can be seen in Tinkers Cubbie?

1) A Beer Machine. (I want one soooo bad. )
2) The Tardis. ( I want one soooo bad.)
3) A full weekend pass to a comicon.(I WILL have one again for next year)
4) A pot of gold.
5) A dead Leprechaun. (killed when his pot of gold tipped over on top of him)
6) A Treasure Chest.
7) Robocops helmet.
8) A carton of expired eggs.
9) A real lead figurine (I still have a few of these bad boys from back in the day)
10) Testors Red gloss paint.
11) A Brown Coat poster.
12) Desktop computer (my first computer. I bought an E Machine with a whopping 4 gig hard drive back in 1999. Yay! go Dial-up!)
13) Tom Bakers legendary Doctor Who scarf.
14) A Death of Superman cape. (Supermans corpse not included)
15) A Pac Man Machine.
16) A Laundry basket. (I don't really know why I put that in there. Tinker doesn't wear clothes...)
17) Jolly's Hammer.
18) Excalibur (the note tied to it reads - To: Arthur, From : Merlin. Happy Holidays)
19) A Pet Rock. (Never had one, never wanted one, but man they where a huge deal when I was a kid.)
20) A Slinky. (Never wanted one of those either. People buy the weirdest things)
21) A Green Deck of Magic the Gathering + life counters.
22) A paperback copy of Conan stories.
23) Monty Pythons Holy Grail.
24) A fog machine.
25) Gizmo.
26) Tinker.
27) The TV show board. (so I remember when to watch what.)
28) A big plastic glowing ball. I wanted to do a disco ball, but it was such a pain, I gave up on it.
29) Bill and Teds time traveling phone booth.... (poor man's Tardis?)
30) Batman's cape, a gift for Ben Afleck. (No, I have no problem at all with him playing Batman.)
31) Captain America's First crappy shield.
32) Thor's hammer. (No, I didn't mean for it to look like its floating, but I'm done with this page and the silly thing is magical, so I can live with it)
33) A chess set. I love chess. I'm just not very good at it.
34) Barbra Eden Genie lamp.
35) A model of the star ship enterprise, from the first...long, boring movie.
36) Wall-to-wall gold coin carpeting.
37) a pair of cheap nunchucks (I own several, and I actually do know how NOT to kill myself with them)

Did I miss anything?

I think I did...

And if you're browsing around any of the comic sites he is on, give the dwarf a friendly vote =)

Ha ha! That's funny. I'd been thinking about doing a gag about stuff in a bag of holding. Those magical storage thingys sure are mysterious! Was the Player's Handbook and a copy of Mad Dog in your list?

Those two items were not listed, so you found them!

Magic storage gets abused so bad in most games, even in mine.

You really need to be careful what you let players do with a bag of holding sometimes.

Tinker likes to collect things from the places he has been. One of these days its going to get him into some trouble.

Beer machine isnt plugged in, so all the beer is both warm, and pretty much past its shelf life.

The last time I saw a beer machine, I was just out of Boot Camp, and they had one at the barracks where I was stationed.

That was back in 1984. That machine was our best friend...and he needed to be restocked pretty much every day.

Centcomm lives very close, and we are currently hoping to get some kind of good old fashioned PnP game going soon =D

You are welcome. The book cover was pretty fun to do, and its the least I could do to thank you for your help with the site!

Wow, turns out Tinker is a huge geek? I could get behind that. Interesting to see the spirits can 'speak' with him also. Nice work on that stash!

Tinker is a HUGE collector of all kinds of geeky things...oddly enough, very much like myself. (that pot of gold started off as a tub of dice, except I cant draw certain kinds of dice very well, but gold coins are a sinch!)

And yup, both Stonearm and Nok can 'read' Tinker. Its easier as a spirit, than it will be for Jolly, but he will catch on soon enough.

As you can tell from the style of the word bubble, its been Stonearm who has been talking to Tinker through the last couple chapters.

I think my love for Tinker just went up by 500%. Gotta love nerds/geeks/whatever you call them :3

Tinker is a pretty decent little dude. He is a bit of a kleptomaniac when it comes to pop culture and stuff.

He tries to behave, but Gremlins are rambunctious by nature, so it doesn't always work out.

Wow, there is a lot of love in that panel! Is Tinker just a little bit autobiographical, perhaps?

More than l care to admit, but as they say, write about what you know, for which l present the contents of Tinkers cubbie =P

Yes he does!

Im thinking about doing a short Gremlin origin story. Ive had some pretty good ideas on how they came to be in my little universe.

You have real likeable characters. I like how you threw in the mad dog comic in the final frames; that was great.
Draginbeard 27th Oct 2013, 12:41 PM edit delete reply
Draginbeard
Thanks Doug =)

Ive started to delve a little more into character writing, the thing that gets me is how attached I get to them...and sadly, not all of them are going to survive to the end of the story.

I am going to dread writing those final pages for some of these guys.

Heh, my packs in most games were like this. It took me a while before I started organizing things.

Tinker is just too lazy to get in there to do it. =P
